Alchimix is a cocktail recipe app developed by sonicode ("we", "us"), published on
Google Play under the package name com.sonicode.coctelapp.
This policy explains, in plain language and with no small print, what Alchimix does with your
information. The summary fits in one line: we collect nothing at all.
Alchimix stores the following — and nothing else — in your device's local storage
(AsyncStorage, inside the app's private sandbox):
None of this is ever transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no technical means
of accessing it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from Android settings, deletes
all of it permanently.
Alchimix requests no sensitive permissions. Specifically, it does not request access to
location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone or SMS, and it does not use the
Android advertising identifier (AAID), which is explicitly blocked in the build.
The only file access happens when you tap "Export" or "Import" backup: at that moment the
system file picker opens so you can choose where to save or read your JSON file. That file
stays entirely under your control and we never see it.
Alchimix includes optional AI features (invent a cocktail from what you have, explain a recipe,
suggest a garnish). They work on a BYOK — bring your own key basis:
1. The feature is off by default. If you never turn it on, nothing whatsoever happens.
2. To use it you must enter your own Claude (Anthropic) API key, obtained by you under your
own account. The key is stored only on your device and is never sent to sonicode.
3. When you explicitly trigger an AI action, the text of that request (for example, the list
of ingredients in your bar, or the recipe you are asking about) **is sent directly from your
device to the Anthropic API over HTTPS, using your key and under your account**. It does
not pass through any server of ours, and we neither receive, store nor see any copy of that
content or of the response.
4. That processing is governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy, which we recommend
you read: <https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy>.
5. Our advice: do not type personal, health-related or confidential information into AI prompts.
The app does not need any of it to work.
6. You can delete your key at any time from Settings > AI > Remove key. The feature then
switches off again and the app keeps working at 100% on its local engine.
Without an AI key, Alchimix makes no network connections at all.
Alchimix is about alcoholic drinks and is intended solely for adults aged 18 or over (or the
legal drinking age in your country, if higher). It is neither designed nor directed towards
children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — in fact, we collect information
from no one.
Alchimix is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, no
sponsored content and no affiliate links.
Because we process no personal data, there is no database against which to exercise the GDPR
(Regulation (EU) 2016/679) rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection or portability
against us. Even so:
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) may note that we do not collect, sell or share personal
information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and
change the "Last updated" date shown above. Material changes will also be announced in the
Google Play release notes.

PUBLISHING NOTE (not part of the legal text)
Google Play requires the privacy policy to be hosted at a public URL that is reachable without
logging in, is not behind a paywall, does not expire, and links directly to the text (not to a
downloadable PDF and not to a page that redirects to a store).
Recommended hosting options:
sonicode/alchimix-legal, with this file rendered asindex.html → https://sonicode.github.io/alchimix-legal/privacy
Recommended: publish EN and ES on the same site with a language switcher, or as two sibling
URLs (/privacy and /privacidad).
Where the URL goes in Play Console:
1. Play Console > your app > Policy > App content > Privacy policy
→ "Privacy policy URL" field. Mandatory before you can publish.
2. Play Console > Grow > Store presence > Main store listing settings
→ the listing's "Privacy policy" field (shown to users on the store page).
3. The same URL must be declared in the Data safety section
(see store/data-safety.md, section 3).
4. Recommended: also link to that URL inside the app, under Settings > Legal.
